Relationships

"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it." - John Lennon

Relationships matter and they can also be really hard.

Whether it’s with a partner, family member, or within a larger family system, it’s easy to fall into patterns that feel frustrating, disconnected, or stuck.
You might be having the same conversations over and over.
Struggling to feel heard or understood.
Or unsure how to support each other without things escalating.
Even when there’s love, something can still feel off underneath the surface.

You might be coming in for:
  • Communication challenges or frequent conflict
  • Feeling disconnected or emotionally distant
  • Rebuilding trust after hurt, betrayal, or infidelity
  • Navigating life transitions (divorce, parenting, major changes)
  • Family tension or ongoing patterns that feel hard to break
  • Supporting a neurodivergent partner, child, or family member
  • Differences in needs, expectations, or intimacy
  • Parenting or co-parenting stress
  • Estrangement or repairing relationships
  • Exploring non-traditional relationship structures (kink, poly, etc.)

My approach
In our work together, the focus isn’t on “who’s right”—it’s on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck.
We’ll slow things down and look at what’s happening beneath the surface—not just what’s happening in the moment.
Together, we work toward:
  • More honest, effective communication
  • Greater empathy and understanding
  • Rebuilding trust and emotional safety
  • Healthier boundaries and roles within relationships
  • Strengthening connection in a way that feels genuine and sustainable
I aim to create a space where everyone involved feels heard, respected, and supported—even when things feel tense or complicated.

Working with families
When working with families, I also draw from my background as a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator.
This approach focuses on:
  • Helping children feel a sense of connection and belonging
  • Understanding the beliefs behind behavior
  • Teaching problem-solving and communication skills
  • Balancing kindness with firmness
  • Supporting autonomy and confidence
Rather than focusing on punishment, we focus on building long-term skills that support both connection and independence.
